At The Green Mission Inc., Green Mission ESG, Probity Appraisal Group, and MAS LLC, our commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) is not performative. It is personal, structural, and mission-driven.

As a women-led enterprise, our founder—also a mother of five—understands firsthand that a disproportionate share of unpaid household labor, caregiving responsibilities, and childcare burdens fall on women and single parents. One of the fastest ways to derail a person’s career and long-term financial stability is to become pregnant in an economy that still penalizes caregiving. Quality full-time childcare can cost nearly half of a person’s income, and when a child or family member falls ill, there are few safety nets. That reality pushes out talented, capable individuals from the workforce every day.

We see those people. And we hire them.

Our DEI approach is rooted in the belief that the traditional 9-to-5, in-person office model

excludes a huge portion of the population, especially those who are managing chronic illness, caregiving for aging parents or children, or navigating life circumstances that require flexibility and empathy. Instead of asking these individuals to conform to rigid systems, we have restructured our own. We work as a team, intentionally designing roles and responsibilities that plug in those who may be overlooked in traditional hiring pipelines.

The best-kept secret of our DEI initiative? It makes us more profitable.

By hiring individuals who have overcome systemic barriers—whether due to gender, race, economic background, caregiving, or health—we’ve built a team that is resilient, loyal, and deeply aligned with our values. Their lived experiences are not obstacles; they are strengths that shape the integrity, adaptability, and purpose behind our work.
